"Jennifer was always a very supportive friend and teammate. She was another one of that handful of taste testers who were more than happy to give their brutally honest opinion. I always felt a bit on edge when she tasted my food - only because of that very crisp air about her, but she really is quite a kind person and I'm glad to have her as a friend."

"Jen and I have had one doozie of a beginning. We never really saw eye to eye in school; and I'm sure I'm partly to blame for that. But as time goes on, people mature and I've all but really ignored whatever ill harbored feelings I've had. Besides, life's too short and I know she's a decent friend to Hugh. We chit chat here and there when I do see her, but nothing beyond that really. She's a nice girl though. "

Hello, again hello, 99 miles from LA (hopes to become Just the perfect blend), Whatchya think about that look.

Jenn and I got to know each other originally from around the common room. Hugh teased me how she was that girl across the room, meaning I never went and talked to her. Of course she joined the Quidditch team in my sixth year when all of the adventures began. She was a decent Chaser, Hugh and I helped her out here and there. In my last year I finally asked her out in spite of my little redheaded friend's protests. We were together for a good while but we drifted after I left. Since then I have seen her name in articles and heard her name in passing from Hugh, but we always seem to miss each other. Recently I saw her at Mitchell's pub. I hope we can get back to the friends we were, but if not I think Hugh could still call her the girl across the room.

"Jenn and I disliked -- if that's the word -- each other at first; she was an annoying, snotty little thing when she was young, but as she matured, the real person emerged, and not the crowd mentality that grips Hogwarts girls in their middle teen years. I took a chance on easing her onto the Quidditch Squad, and it paid off: She became a very steady player. During school she was caught up in some of the dangers that beset us then, and she came through it all very changed, and it also healed some rifts between our families, too. I have to credit her for all the hard work she put in at school, and she's never slowed down since. She's also helped out our IMMF teams in foreign lands. If she's not running a Ministry department someday, I'll be very surprised. "

"Back at Hogwarts, I wasn't introduced to Jenn until Hugh united us at a library study session and had recruited me to help with the Charms work. Admittedly, I hadn't heard very nice things about the girl from the grapevine, but found her to be perfectly amiable, if slightly immature. She has since seemed to come into her own a bit, and her vigilance and work ethic is certainly admirable, especially within a rather male-dominant department. We have a chat over coffee once in a blue moon and I'm always keen to learn what she's been up to."

"I didn't relly know Jenn very well at all during school. She and I spoke a few times, mostly because of Jake. I probably wouldn't have even known her if not for Jake, so... She's a real sweet girl, though. Aiden really knows her more than I do."

"I can't say I've seen Jennifer since my days at Hogwarts. I know she's working for the Ministry, the IMC with Hugh I think, and her name is dropped every so often through Chase. Other than that, I don't know much about her anymore. I remember she and Auri never really got along; I always did admire her pluck, though. She was never one to back down, even when it might have been for her own good. Auri can be fierce, after all. Regardless, she's done well for herself from what I hear, and I can't fault her for any misunderstandings at school. I wouldn't mind a light chat at a social function, just to see what she's done with herself."

"To this day I remember our first meeting, and how delightfully poised and mature she was for her age at the time. it was a glimpse of who she was going to be I guess, and it's like an indelible picture in my mind. Since I came to work at the Ministry, I run into Jenn more and more, and she helped me out on a special project that we had in Austria, a wizard's conference. It was pretty successful, and our collaboration was so close it made me wonder at times what I really felt about her. She's very disturbing to me in a way I never thought possible. I took a chance and asked her out, and its been quite exciting since. We don't have enough time, I think, but I know I've cut corners to see her, and I hope she's happy even when I can't. I have the friendship, and that's a great one. I guess it must also be love. If it is, now I have to be brave enough to face that hurricane."

"Jennifer and I were never best mates or anything at Hogwarts, but she was a nice girl. I think we'd probably have gone to Hogsmeade a few times together in a large group. She was always well dressed and generally very nice to me. Now she stops by the shop ever so often... she's bought a few pieces, I think she likes them. She keeps asking when I'm going to get on designing some travel clothes. Maybe I could design her a cloak or two..."

"I know a lot of the Sloane-Underwoods that went through Hogwarts and St. Andrews, and they are a stalwart bunch of natural-born diplomats. Our families are probably related if you go back far enough, too. Jennifer is the most recent graduate from the family, and rose from complete anonymity to one of our better students. She's very enthusiastic, social, and determined, and like all her family, they work hard. Her father heads up IMC, and I expect she'll probably end up running something at the Ministry someday. I also understand that she's gotten quite close to my son, and I don't have any objection. Thought they are quite far apart in age, they seem to get along well."

"I vaguely knew Jenn for most of the time we were at Hogwarts together. She was always a very kind sort of person. Once, in my fifth year there was a little potions incident that made a few of us a bit… Aggressive. I really don’t like to think about that day and I’ve managed to force most of what happened out of my brain, but I do remember Jenn and Anne helped me out a lot then. So, I’ve never forgotten when Jenn did for me and I’ve always appreciated that."

Hello again, Hello

"Jennifer was a year below me in school, but she fit in well enough. I didn't really have very many chances to interact with her seeing as we weren't in the same house or classes, but when we did, I always found that she was a fun and intelligent person despite her appearance, something that I can relate to. Auri introduced me to her I think and it was after a post game Qudditch match (Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff - I was crossing into dangerous territory I was!) and we struck up a conversation. Since graduating, I've only seen her a couple of times here and there. I here she's traveling now but hopefully we'll get to play catch up soon."

"Miss Sloane-Underwood was always one of the prettier birds around the Hufflepuff common room, flitting 'bout with her cast of giggling mates, and it wasn't until later on when she joined the Quidditch team that she turned a corner and stopped muckin' about and got serious. Have to admit, she definitely shocked us with her athleticism - Damian privately thought that she won her spot because she and Jake were seeing each other at the time, though o'course I never mentioned it to anyone - but once we got over that shock we became good friends. Giving her the benefit of the doubt at the time won her friendship then; as I recall, more than a few teammates were skeptical, but given how good-natured I was at the time I never really gave her grief about it.

Since then I've heard somewhere vaguely that she works for the Ministry - Merlin, why do so many Puffs go for that sort of thing? - working under her father. I'm sure she's gone far in that as well, what with all her connections and all that."

"Hello, Again, Hello" + Whatchya think about that look?"

"The Hufflepuff girls were about the best looking bunch around Hogwarts back in the day. I remember Jennifer really well, too, though I don't think we talked much. No I'm sure we didn't. She was a friend of Hugh's, and still is, I guess. I haven't seen anything of her since school, though I spotted her once shopping, and said hello. She's totally beautiful now, but she's not my type. I like the shorter girls, y'see? But yeah, I think she's nice."
