"Anne Mowbray and I grew up not too far from each other in Nottinghampshire, so you could say I've known her for a long time. I didn't spend a lot of time with her in the early years at Hogwarts, but later on, she helped out in a number of our dangerous student escapades, and proved a sensible girl. We never dated or really were more than friends (although I think she had a crush on me that she'll never admit); I never thought it odd that she talked to herself at school. I did wish she'd find some friends, and she did, to some degree. I've only seen her on some rare occasions since: She's working with animals in a circus, and animals are something she was always good at. I hope we can catch up sometime, or have her over for dinner."

"I mostly knew of Anne Mowbray because she was the tallest girl in Hufflepuff, even at a young age. She loved animals, I recall, and I guess she still does. She had this weird habit of talking to her owl when it rode around on her shoulder, and sometimes she'd talk to her shoulder even if he wasn't there. But a nice girl, and inoffensive. She works for one of the magical circuses now, I believe, but I don't correspond with her. I think Jenn talks to her on occasion."

"Anne...Ah! The one who always spoke to animals and the like. I thought that she was kind of an oddball but never went farther as to tease her about it like some of my Slytherin friends did. Once I became acquainted with Aurelia though, I became more used to her company. I know that Nolan was sweet on her and when I found that out, well it was all just over for him. I thought that they were the cutest couple to be honest and oh, Nolan didn't hear the end of it from me. I hear she's in the circus now or something like that. Good for her; she's happy and that's all anybody wants to get out of life anyway. I wouldn't mind getting back in touch with her to be honest."

"There was definitely a time, too far back to be all that important, when nothing was so important to me as tinkering about with Herbology and magical beasts out near the barns and greenhouses, and more often than not I was in the company of the dark-haired Anne. I remember being thoroughly shocked when all the blokes in the Dorms whinged and whinged about such-and-such being taken already and which Prefects were going to ask one another out and all that fuss, while I thanked Merlin that I wasn't going to have to fight for Anne's company. Not that I wouldn't have; in those foolishly naive days I would've raised my wand at anybody who made fun of Anne for mumbling to herself... thought it was quite endearing, I did. Nowadays, I wouldn't even be able to defend her against accusations of being some sort of 'circus freak'.

I do wonder from time to time how she's been doing, but our paths have never crossed and likely never will, alas."

It's sad that I don't see Anne anywhere near as much as I did. She was always a girl that did not fight to seem normal. I remember escorting her to a ball once. Nothing really came of it, but it was a lot of fun. She was not like the other girls that I spent my time chasing or with. There was no feeling that I had to fight to be perfect for her, she took me for who I was. At the time, it was a Tall gangly guy who had a hard time keeping English in a sentence by itself.

Now, she is doing her Circus, which is amazing, because that fits her perfectly. We don't see each other much, but I always send her letters, pictures of Maggie, free tickets to the games. Once in a while we meet up, but not often enough for me. Like with most of my old Hufflepuff friends, there is always time for them.

"Anne and I were in the same house, and we got along pretty well for the most part, but she was part of the awkward squad for a long time, and never seriously got into the social scene. She always seemed quiet at big gatherings and dances, but if you talked about a subject she liked, she would open up a lot. I can't say we were close friends, but I liked her. I don't know where she is these days, the last I heard she was working at a circus, but she's probably working with animals, too. I really have to send her a note."

"I don't know Anne all that well, although I do recall she was part of the very talented Hufflepuff class from the the early teens of the decade. She wasn't a standout academically, but had a knack for animals. She won the Magical Creatures Race one year, and so her names on the Cup in the trophy room. I've lost touch with her in recent years, but I understand she's still working with animals."

"I knew Anne first by introduction through Aurelia. She was always a bit of an odd one, but I liked that quality about her. I couldn't help but smile when she and Nolan started going out and Merlin knows I didn't let him hear the end of it. I got to know her a lot better after that even if it did take a bit to get her to open up to me. I knew I could count on an honest opinion from her when it came to my new creations that I cooked up. "Anne was one of my first potions partners in school, which was a great match, really. Our personalities were pretty similar then so we got along well. We would talk about anything and everything - well, almost everything. She was a good friend in school and she really helped me out during a potions incident back in fifth year.
